Rainforest Night Tour

To experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest at night is truly something special. Most Rainforest experiences will show you this incredible ecosystem during the day. Meanwhile, this adventure will take you on a journey through the Atherton Tablelands rainforest as it comes alive at night.

Not only is about 80% of Australia’s wildlife is more active from dusk through to nighttime, but the cooler temperatures make for a more comfortable experience. This tour starts in the early afternoon; therefore, we use spotlights in the dark to capture our unique animals up in the rainforest canopy. Your informative guide will show you some of the world’s most unusual animals. From time to time, you might spot mysterious creatures such as platypus, tree kangaroos, possums, and gliders. Other interesting creatures include bats, bandicoots, echidnas, snakes, frogs, etc.

On the Rainforest Night Tour, you will get the chance to learn all about the tropical rainforest. At the same time, discover how local Aboriginal tribes use the vegetation to make tools and heal and make remedies.

All in all, don’t forget your camera for your Atherton Waterfalls and Wildlife experience! After all, it is about leaving footprints and only taking memories!
